A car quote that looks cheap is usually a car quote with the mandatory local cover taken out of it, to be sold back at the counter after a long flight.

  • The hire car for the full fourteen days, booked with the local insurance already inside the price rather than sold to you at the counter
  • Breakfast on the two mornings
  • A written route for the fortnight, with the driving times written honestly rather than optimistically

What is open, and who arranges it

  • Twelve of the fourteen nights
  • Every meal but the two breakfasts

  • Where you actually go, because the written route is a suggestion and the weather will argue with it
  • The office will hold a bed ahead for you by telephone while you are there, at no charge

What the open part asks of you

  • You will drive on the left, on roads that are narrower than the photographs suggest, often in rain
